It all started with a broken RC Car. A crash, flying parts, the tear-filled eyes of a distraught young man thinking all his fun was over, and a Dad who always thinks a road trip is a great idea. 500 miles later, we also had a lake in our near future, and we walked into an amazing store. This store possessed in its environs something for “kids of all ages”, I fell in love Barnham!Entranced. We looked, played, bought, repaired, and then it turned into an all-out event as the children in the car screamed for another hobby store. Four days later my tired family wrung lake water from our clothes, picked a bouquet of poison ivy and headed home. I couldn’t stop talking about how badly we, the Permian Basin, needed a hobby store. Never one to present a problem without giving a solution, I set about discussing the idea… and then my wife presented the name Mad Jack’s. With the support of my family we started this journey to fill a void in the young and those young at heart within the Permian Basin.
